In the best region of the D.O.Ca. Rioja lies Finca Valpiedra in a spectacular bend in the Ebro River. The exceptional conditions of this 80 hectare estate are derived from the microclimate and the soil type, formed by a cloak of riverbed pebbles and limestone. These stones play a fundamental part in the quality of the wine, in that they work as a natural filter and contribute to the vines the adecuate amounts of water, light and heat. With these characteristics, Finca Valpiedra is the only winery of Rioja that is a member of the association of Great Single Estate Vineyards of Spain.
