Marqués de Riscal has always been a pioneer and a leader in the wine trade. In 1858 we became the first winery in Rioja to make wine following methods from Bordeaux, and recently we opened the City of Wine with a building designed by architect Frank Gehry, the most avant-garde structure built to date for a Spanish winery. Marqués de Riscal is sold in more than 70 countries and its wines have earned the highest international accolades as well as numerous awards and reviews in the wine press.
The goal of every great winery is to produce wine of high quality that allows long bottle ageing and this is the ultimate purpose behind the philosophy at Bodegas de los Herederos del Marqués de Riscal. Wines made using varietals that give enough structure to allow them to age. The way to make great wines starts with the rigorous selection of grapes. Apart from the strict control of the sanitary conditions and ripeness of the grapes, Bodegas de los Herederos del Marqués de Riscal is the only winery to vinify grapes separately according to the age of the vineyards.
Our product range in Rioja is: Marqués de Riscal red reserva, Barón de Chirel red reserva, Marqués de Riscal red gran reserva, and Marqués de Riscal rosé.
