Criadores de Rioja is a family held wine cellar which has been successful in making wines which unite the classic Rioja hallmarks of well integrated oak and elegant silky red fruit on the palate. Located in Alberite, a village 8 miles south of Logroño (Rioja´s capital city), the winery boasts state of the art technology which cohabits with the traditional art of ageing in oak barrels. The winery produces different wine ranges , some of which are made from grapes sourced from historic areas of Rioja, like Castillo de Clavijo, with a marked continental influence, and others which pay homage to Rioja´s landmarks like Castillo San Lorenzo (Rioja´s highest mountain peak).
